Cheer camp is over and the Cheer team is coming home with some AWESOME Achievements!

  • Days one and two  the cheer team received the Spirit Stick Award – which is presented to the teams showing the most sincere spirit and enthusiasm for the day, while taking into account their attitude during classes, promptness, cooperation, relationships with other teams, and leadership.  Ultimately leading the fellow camp teams to vote our squad for the Top Spirit Award!
  • During the Game Day the team earned 1st place bringing home the Top Team Trophy which is awarded to the team that exemplifies the best overall Game Day ability to motivate the crowd. Required to perform a spirited entrance, cheer learned at camp, and a stunt learned at camp. Now earning the opportunity to perform at Citrus Bowl in Florida. 
  • They also received a Bid for Nationals in DALLAS, TX – which is awarded to teams that have exemplified all of the NFHS “Roles of a cheerleader” and qualities as a team. -Teams that receive this award have been evaluated by their buddy on a list of requirements while at camp.
  • Final day the girls received two superior ribbons for chant and cheer. 
Along with the team awards individual cheer leaders have also received recognition:
  • Sierra R. And Kathy L. were nominated for All- American, which were selected by Camp Instructors as individuals that display superior cheerleading techniques in a specific cheer area and they received that award for their Jumps.
  • The Captains, Ella and Sierra received the opportunity to cheer at an leadership event in ORLANDO, Disney!
  • The team also awarded Ella as the person on the team that motivated each teammate the most.
  • Finally, Analicia was selected by staff for the pin it program for her ability to take corrections apply them the first time and persevere through her struggles with positive enthusiasm.
