Bulls News · Big Sixth Innings Launches Bulls Past Indian Springs

SLAM! Bulls Baseball utilized a twelve run 6th inning to put away the Thunderbirds of Indian Springs High School in 6 innings. SLAM! was able to knot the score at two in the fifth inning when Smiley Zamora reached first base on fielding error and moved to third on Ozzy Zawislak’s double. Zamora scored on a wild pitch and Zawislak was able to score on Anthony Kopecky’s sacrifice fly. Daemein Hargrove led off the 6th with a triple to left. The hits kept coming for the Bulls in the inning and, coupled with a few errors from the Thunderbirds, the boys plated 12 runs in the inning to stretch the lead to 14-2 and in essence put the game away. Ozzy Zawislak took the mound in the 5th inning in relief of Matthew Rodriguez to shut down the Thunderbirds. Rodriguez was strong on the mound, going 4 1/3 innings, striking out nine while giving up only two runs on two hits. Go Bulls!
